| Dry Ingredients: 1 box Corn Chex 1 box Rice Chex 1 box Wheat Chex 1 box Cinnamon Chex 1 box Honey Nut Chex 1 box Golden Grahams 1 box Crispix 3 cups Honey roasted peanuts 2 cups mixed nuts 2 cups pecan halves 4 cups corn chips 4 cups mini pretzel shapes 2 small cans shoestring potatoes Basting Mix (per batch): 1/2 cup cooking oil 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce 1-1/2 tablespoon Tabasco sauce 1 tablespoon Seasoned salt Extra Ingredients: peanut M&Ms almond M&Ms |
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large container (such as a canning pot). Then pour as much as possible into a large roasting pan. The recipe should make enough for 2 or 3 such batches, depending on the size of your roasting pan. Mix the Basting Mix ingredients in a shaker bottle, sprinkle about 1/4 of the basting mix over the dry ingredients in the roasting pan and bake at 200 deg F for 2 hours, stirring and basting with the remaining basting mix every 30 minutes. Sprinkle a handful or two of peanut and almond M&Ms over the mix at the same time as the last basting. Cool and stir in air-tight containers. Use all of the basting mix in the shaker bottle with each batch that you process in this manner. If you have a very large baking pan that can accommodate the entire dry ingredients at once, then you should double the Basting Mix ingredients for such a large, single batch. |
